How We Work

All contracts are handled by a team of experienced and fully qualified electricians who work closely together under the leadership of a Senior Project Manager. A typical team would comprise of:

Estimator: prompt, accurate and competitive quotations and tenders carried out free of charge by experienced estimators.

Senior Manager: your main point of contact, our Senior Manager will be responsible for scheduling works and keeping you fully updated on your project. He will oversee the project development and be the hub of communication for you and our own team members.

Approved Electricians: All our electricians are qualified to the 17th Edition (latest IEE wiring regulations) and attend regular training courses to ensure they are always up to date with testing and health & safety regulations.

Trainee Electricians: Scorpio Electrical is proud to support the up and coming trade talent and places their Trainee Electricians with an Approved Electrician for the duration of their three-year college apprenticeship.

Full-time dedicated NICEIC Qualifying Officer: This post requires the holder to ensure that all completed work is fully tested and compliant. He will also register, where applicable, the work with the NICEIC.

Administration: We have an efficient, in-house Administration team who will manage aspects of your project such as purchasing, sales, and accounts. This team also manages the Scorpio Electrical memberships with CHAS, NICEIC and Constructionline.

First Contact

When you decide to work with Scorpio Electrical, your first contact will be with our Estimators. Talking through your requirements, they will ensure they have a full understanding of the final project, including making site visits, before supplying you with a full, detailed cost estimate.

Our estimators will work with you at this stage to ensure all elements of the preparation are satisfactory until you are ready for our electricians to start their work.

Your Project Is Underway

Once a project is confirmed, the baton is handed to our Senior Manager, to deliver your project. The electricians are booked for the duration of the project and the resources are bought and delivered to site ready for a mutually-agreed start date.

Rob will remain our internal manager of the project, ensuring deadlines are hit, supplies are delivered to our electricians, and budgets are adhered to.

On site, our electricians will be managed by Bob XXX, our Site Manager. He will ensure, among other areas, the completion of daily tasks and the reporting of progress to our head office.

We consider all projects in the context of energy conservation. This means our recommendations and quotes are based upon the most energy efficient options. All installations – new build or refit/remedial works – are undertaken in line with current Government regulations in this area.

We can advise on Carbon Trust schemes including pay-back and interest-free self-financing loans.

Completing Your Project

Upon completion of the project, the NICEIC Testing and Certification will be undertaken.

After all testing has been completed you will be supplied with NICEIC Test Certificates for your records.

Before, during or after your project you will be welcome to contact any member of the team should you have any questions or queries.
